Griho

A ceKapsys product

Griho is a rent app for flat owners in Bangladesh, built in Dhaka by ceKapsys, a cybersecurity company. Why we built it and how we treat your data.

Why Griho exists

Griho started with a simple observation: flat owners in Bangladesh run a small business, often several, with nothing more than a notebook and a phone. Rent arrives by cash, bKash, Nagad, cheque and bank transfer. Bills and repairs come and go. Advances sit untouched for years until someone needs to remember exactly how much they were. Every tool we looked at was built for another country's leases, currency and habits.

So we built one for here. Griho keeps track of every flat, tenant and taka, in Bangla and English, on the phone you already carry. It creates each month's rent for you, sends a numbered receipt on WhatsApp the moment you log a payment, and shows what each flat really earns after its costs. It's free for your first flat.

Built by a cybersecurity company

Griho is made and run by ceKapsys, a cybersecurity company based in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. That shapes how we built it, because a rent app holds sensitive details: tenants' national ID numbers, their families' phone numbers, where they live and what they pay.

  • Sensitive fields are encrypted. NID numbers and family phone numbers are encrypted in the database, hidden on screen by default, and every time someone reveals one, it's recorded.
  • Every account is walled off. The database itself refuses to return one owner's records to another, not just the app. Automated tests try to break that wall on every release.
  • Staff see masked data. If you ask us for help, our support staff see names and numbers masked. They must give a reason to open your account, and the visit is logged.
  • Staff sign-in is protected. Our console runs on its own address, requires two-factor sign-in, and can be limited to our office network.
  • Nothing is deleted behind your back. If you move to a smaller plan, extra flats become read-only. Your records stay as they were.

What we believe about software for owners

Numbers over adjectives. A good rent app should tell you who owes what, and what each flat earned last year, in one screen. We'd rather show you a figure than a slogan.

Bangla is not a translation. Every screen, receipt and reminder is written for Dhaka readers in everyday Bangla, not run through a translator.

Your tenants deserve respect too. Reminders are polite and factual, they only go to numbers you've saved, and there are daily limits so nobody is ever flooded with messages.

Your data is yours. Every receipt and settlement downloads as a PDF on every plan, and paid plans export reports as PDF and Excel.
